Splish Splash digi fun!
sparkled! I traced around the sentiment with a gold glitter pen to add some extra fun on the banner. It is curled to add extra dimension, in case it doesn't show well in the scan. The dp is from Flair Designs, ribbon is from SU!, and flowers are Prima. Buttons are from an ancient stash that has been hiding in the depths of my stamp room for eons. I'm surprised they didn't crumble into dust as soon as they hit sunlight! ;) oh, and the card is a long 9"x3 1/2" to fit in a legal envie. Perfect to send to someone, they expect a bill 'cause of the size, and VOILA, a cutie pie summer card!Friday, June 19, 2009
Great Friends Coffee Card
I did manage to do a wee bit of stamping last night - most certainly not my best effort ever, but glad to be getting inky again! Seemed to take me forever to get even the most basic things done. That is okay. Sure does prove that you need to stay in the groove to keep the creativity flowing.
I had printed out this sentiment from the free samplings over at Digiments a while back. (go check out the site in case you have missed any of the weekly giveaways that Michelle has provided. new releases are out, too!) Printed on some of my infamous 'coffee paper' that I am just loving. Used some of my lonely craft stamps from Stamps Happen by the Janlynn Corp. that I have sadly not inked in a while. I used a marker and omitted the rectangle borders around the cups. Stamped each one a second time, cut out with those amazing paper snips from SU!, and then mounted on super duper thick foam stickies to give lots of lift and 3D effect (after coloring, of course). Paper is Basic Grey Archaic collection. Lightly sponged artichoke ink over the word
'friends' to help highlight and sponged edges as well. Pulled out those swanky new corduroy brads from SU!, and gosh, are they swell! Added a few more baby buttons in the other corner, (after dropping some on the wood floor which will stay there until I can go track down my glasses and then start crawling around 'cause those little buggers BLEND!!! and then of course Mocha thinks I want to play with her which starts a whole other story.........)anywho....... will try to catch up on my blogging comments this weekend. I am so dreadfully sorry that I haven't been able to leave love for all of my marvy peeps! But I think of each of you daily and will venture into blog land pronto! Have ideas perculating in my head for a project with some great images from Angel's Landing, so hopefully will have something PHENOM to show you next week. If not, then maybe you will settle for something adequate?!?! ;)
love you and take care!

It's Here! Digiment Grand Opening!!!!! :D

digiment as well as to outline the large butterfly on the BG paper. Really adds lots of sparkle irl, that sadly doesn't show in the scan. The little butterfly punches also have touches added with the glitter pen. The prima flower was painted with pink shimmerz. The main digiment is popped up on thick foam tape to add extra dimension. Tiny hot pink seed beads were added to the circle of cs just below the digiment portion.Monday, May 11, 2009
It's a DIGIMENT Sneaky Peeky!!!! ;)
One of the great things I have noticed about Michelle's images is that when you readjust the sizes, none of the edges get cropped off like happens with some digis that I have downloaded. I love that! And hers stay crisp and clean - the lines don't get all hazy or distorted, which is another plus. Saturday, May 9, 2009

A most beloved blog award!

Karen from Karen's Escape
Lori from Make a Difference
these women don't just say that they are Christians and leave it at that - they talk about their faith on their blogs. They mention the ups and downs of life as a Christian and how hard it is to hold on sometimes, but yet still get down on their knees and praise Him through both the storms and sunshine. and I think that is pretty cool! :)
I am still creating just can't post some of the things since they are for the Digiments Grand Opening next week on May 13! Will try to make a few things to share on my blog - God has really laid a verse on my heart in the past week that I need to get on a card. Hope you have a glorious day! May you have sunshine in your heart even if it isn't outside your window! :) Love ya!
Jennifer
p.s. How could I forget this - run over to the Digiments site right now for a freebie sentiment and contest!!!!!!!! hurry! it's a really cool deal-ie-o!

Glitter Pink 'I Thank God' card
Showing another card made using this beautiful verse from Digiments. I had such fun creating with it the first time, I decided to make another card with it and for a happier occassion. I really can't wait to see the other sentiments and verses that Michelle comes up with once her store opens up. I feel like the woman from those commercials a while back, standing at the door, saying over and over again, "open, open, open!" I'll be sure to post just as soon as she has her Grand Opening! I know that we are all anxious!
I once again went with these gorgeous K & Co. Que Sera Sera papers. Thanks to my blogging friend Dru over at Garden of Dreams, I have decided to try to add a little more glitter on some of my projects, so this one's border was first painted in pink shimmerz and then highlighted in fruit punch stickles. lots of shine here, friends! For the charm, I sanded it pretty well with sandpaper and then used my sponge to add
some black Staz-on to help age it, which was quickly wiped off (kinda like antiquing it). The paper roses are more from the Prima line like I used on the other Digiments card. I love these little flowers! The rhinestone flower is also from Prima and the drop dead gorgeous ribbon (sorry the one tail folded over in my scanner! you know the troubles my scanner gives me from previous posts I've made!) is from May Arts. The flourish stamp in the bg of the verse is that neat Michael's find I keep telling you about. man, that is such a cool stamp and all for only $1!!!!
The matting on the verse was distressed and then accented with gold ink. Helps add to the overall shine of the card. Card base edges were once again inked in white craft and then again in gold to add to shabby feel. Oh yes, the paper that the verse is printed on is more of that beautiful pearlescent paper that I had shown you earlier this week. such a wonderful glow to it irl!
Enjoy your weekend! We are swamped here - State Choir competition, SAT's, prom, Spring Retreat at Camp Burton, Maple Festival in town, and me being sicker than any dog I know with a flu bug that's been livin' the high life and settin' up house for almost a week now. blech, icky poo, yuck! no fair food for me! :( and I look forward to the Maple cotton candy every year.......... oh well, maybe next time!

Prima 'I Thank God' Sympathy Card
The little rose in the bottom corner is a new one from Prima also, from the Nursery collection, but it reminds me of the vintage millinery flowers. Chipboard photo corner was covered in same paper and then sanded to distress, my handy dandy ink air tool was used to lightly spray cocoa ink over the verse and the edges were sponged. The swirl flourish stamp in the corner is from a new Inkadinkado stamp that I received from them. I am loving this flourish, and you will see it pop up in so many places! The trim is a new one from Prima also (I love the way it echos the same design as the MS punch!), and the button comes from Stampin' Up! I inked the edges of the main cs piece in white craft ink as I almost always do. ;)
