Design Team Favorite at Tuesday Morning Sketches
Coffee of the Day - Irish Creme
A new challenge is starting over at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra (I'm posting early due to the time difference) as well as it's Oldie But Goodie day on the Bugaboo challenge and inspiration blog. so you get a two-fer from me today! :)
I am using the ever adorable 'Chibi Snowman' image on my card, printed directly onto kraft cardstock. isn't he such a cutie?! :)
papers are from the Basic Grey 25th and Pine collection, satin ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and snowflake corner die is by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions. main die is by Spellbinders.
doily was sprayed with glimmer mist, snow on main image was covered in frosted stickles, and little snow drops were created with a Viva Decor pearl pen. I used a white chalk pencil to color the snowman. more sparkly accents were added with my spica clear glitter pen.
little holly piece is vintage as are the buttons. sentiment was generated on the label maker. sorry it's a bit hard to see.
thanks for stopping by! my crafty posts will be a bit further apart, I'm afraid. have left most of my Design Teams due to some health issues I'm having. hope a bit of rest will get me back on my feet in a few months. :)
until then you'll see me a few times a week, I hope. :)

The Joy of Discovery
Coffee of the Day - Vanilla Macadamia
Happy Monday to all of you lovely folks!
What better way to begin the week than with a fun project showcasing one of Elisabeth Bell's precious images featuring these adorable children!
did you every catch fireflies as a child? did you ever watch them in awe and wonder as they lit up the evening sky? as the July 4th holiday draws ever nearer here in the USA, I thought to myself how God has provided the most beautiful natural fireworks to us each summer evening to delight our inner childlike spirit. :)
My card uses the digital image 'Fireflies', printed onto watercolor paper so I could create a fun evening sky with SU! re-inkers and watercolor brushes. glimmer mist accents create the lovely sparkle.
papers are from the Basic Grey PB & J collection, flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, ribbons & buttons are from my stash, and sentiment die is from Tim Holtz. corrugated cardboard was torn from a shipping box and then inked.
don't forget to join the Digi Bells challenge, too! :)
have a good week!

Merry Christmas, Meadow Magic
Winner at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge
Winner at Hiding in My Craft Room
this is my 2nd post for the day. for my Bugaboo Guest challenge post, please go here. thanks! :)
I am so thankful to be a guest designer for Elisabeth Bell and the Digi Bells challenge blog through July. the images are just so cute and fun! :)
being a guest designer means I also get to play along in the monthly challenges. a new one begins today and the theme is 'Holidays.' since y'all know I'm trying to get a jump start on my Christmas cards, (especially since my MIL took every one of the cards I had in my stash with her when she was here on her visit a few weeks ago), I opted for a Christmas card.
I'm using the oh, so adorable 'Meadow Magic' image along with papers from the Basic Grey Aspen Frost collection. I printed the image onto kraft cs for something a bit different this time. I did my usual watercoloring with SU! inks, with the exception of the snow and snowman. those were colored with a white chalk pencil. talk about something VERY different for me! snowflakes were accented with a white gel pen.
both main dies are by Spellbinders, 'Merry Christmas' die is by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions, flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, seam binding is from Paper Sweeties, and buttons from my vintage stash. angel wings are accented with a wink of stella glitter pen.
that's it for me today! enjoy your weekend, whatever fun plans you have!

Thanks a Latte Cup Stack
Coffee of the Day - Vanilla Cupcake
Hooray, it's Saturday! the weekend is upon us! :) hope you have all kinds of relaxing, good for the soul kinds of things planned to do today.
this is the first of two posts, so be sure to check back in just a little bit for my Digi Bells Challenge post. :)
There is a new challenge over on the Bugaboo challenge and inspiration blog. it's all about the beautiful colors found in the photo.
I'm still on a coffee kick, well, I guess to be more accurate, when am I not?! but I truly need quite a few thank you cards, so it's fun to combine the two. :)
I'm using the cute digi set, 'Coffee Time - Thanks a Latte' on my card. I created the background by inking the inside of a padded envelope that I received and stamping that directly onto my card base. normally I recycle all of my padded envelopes, but some just can't be used again for mailing. those I save for stamping. :) I then sprayed a beautiful shade of aqua glimmer mist over the top for some pretty shine.
cup dies are by Tim Holtz, main die is by Spellbinders, sentiment & banner punches are by SU!, and sequins are from Lawn Fawn. twine is from Target, I think. pretty little flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts. foam on latte is created with liquid applique. accents on main image were highlighted with shimmerz paint. little flourishes are actually saved from the die I will be showing you in today's later post. :)
see you in just a bit! :)
Challenges:
Alphabet Ch - 'I' is for ink it up
Polkadoodles - use a die cut
Scribbles Designs - sip and savor
Southern Girls - anything goes
Inspiration Destination - anything goes
Crop Stop linky party - anything goes with a product they carry (Tim Holtz)
WAW - anything encouraging goes
Simon Says Stamp Wed Ch - add some shimmer (glimmer mist, sequins, & shimmerz paint)

Socks and Sandals
Coffee of the Day - Maple Fudge
So do you know anyone who wears socks with their sandals? we had a friend back in our college days who not only wore socks with his flip flops, but white ones. cracked us up to no end! so of course I thought of him as soon as I saw this great image from Bugaboo!
Aud Sentiments has a new challenge starting today with a theme of 'Funny Sentiments' so let's see what you've got! everyone needs a bit of laughter in their day. :) it's also Throwback Thursday over on the Bugaboo challenge and inspiration blog, so you know you'll want to stop by to see what some of the team members have created to inspire you!
to go with Stella and Gus on the beach, I found a fun castle card template to turn into a sand castle. papers are from the Basic Grey Adrift collection. a bit of sand paper across the bottom adds fun texture.
pennant punch is from SU!, little dew drop is from Double Click Skittles, buttons are from my vintage stash, and ribbons & twine are stash items as well. crystal effects were added to both sets of glasses.
thank you so much for stopping by! hope your summer is going well! :)

Thanks a Latte!
Top 3 at Scribbles Designs
Coffee of the Day - Vanilla Cupcake
I have several thank you cards that I need to get out, so the Summer Coffee Lover's Card Making Blog Hop is the perfect time to get in gear and get them done. this way I can also give them a fun coffee theme, which you know I enjoy! :)
add in that today is Humor Me Wednesday over on the Bugaboo challenge and inspiration blog and we have a perfect combo!
I've used the wonderful 'Girlz Coffee' image on my card as well as the sentiment from 'Coffee Time - Thanks a Latte.' for the summer theme, I've used papers from the Authentique Utopia collection. the little coconut card is from one of the sheets. isn't it fun? I love coconut coffee in the summer!
flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts, noble peacock seam binding is from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and buttons are from my vintage stash. I couldn't resist using that gorgeous fabric covered button. I found it in a jar of old buttons I picked up at an antique store a while back. it seemed perfect here. :)
Hope you have a most amazing day! :)

Coffee of the Day - Vanilla Cupcake (thanks, Kirk & Alison!)
It's 'Anything But a Card' Day over on the Bugaboo challenge and inspiration blog. I'm sharing a tag I made to go with my hubby's Father's Day gifts yesterday.
I used the 'AKV Men - Camping' image to create the tag, adding papers from the Kaisercraft Hunt & Gather collection. a few fun trims, some washi tape, and a button are all that are needed to complete the tag.
for those of who who don't know, my hubby is the Director of a camp. so this image and tag were perfect for him! :)

It's Your Birthday, Kitty Cat
Coffee of the Day - Coconut
Today begins a new challenge over on the Bugaboo challenge and inspiration blog. it's a fun bingo board for all of you to use to jump start those card ideas!
I've used the 'Chibi Kitty' image to create a birthday card for a special online friend of mine. her birthday was last month and I had thought the card was mailed in plenty of time to get to her. turns out the package was set aside and didn't get to the post office until a few days ago. well, her birthday will just last a little longer, right? ;)
papers are from the Basic Grey Vivienne collection, flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, vivid pink seam binding (distressed with multiple inks) is from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and buttons & doily are from my stash. butterfly punch is by Martha Stewart. sentiment stamp is from a retired stamp company.
my bingo selection is the row of ribbon, animal, and players choice which is a doily. :)

Coffee with Daddy
Coffee of the Day - Maple Fudge
My love of coffee began on Saturdays with my Daddy. I think even he would be amazed to find that those days of going for doughnuts would have led to the love of coffee I have today!
Every Saturday morning, he and I would venture off to this wonderful doughnut store. I can still picture it in my mind! after choosing our doughnuts, we would sit on the big diner stools where our doughnuts would be brought to us on plates. my dad would have his cup of coffee and I would have a glass of milk. he would always add just a bit of coffee to my milk, thus giving name to 'coffee milk.' I felt like such a big girl, drinking my coffee with Daddy! those days were so precious to me!!! :)
after breakfast, we would head to the car wash where we would drive through the big machines as they washed and buffed the car to a sparkly clean. do you remember those drive thru car washes? not many around these days.
So leave it to Elisabeth Bell to pop along with a stamp that sums it all up and brings those memories right back to the forefront of my heart again! Just in time for Father's Day, here is "Daddy's Peeker." again, these two could have been me and my Daddy! :) for so many years, it was just he and I.
my card uses papers from the Basic Grey Boxer collection, vintage buttons, coffee die from Verve and main die by My Favorite Things, and a piece of inked cardboard.
What better way to begin the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Summer blog hop than with a card honoring my Dad for Father's Day. :) sure do miss him. since my birthday and Father's Day were always either on the same day or within a day or so of each other, it's a special time for me. :) love ya, Daddy - always and forever!
thank you for stopping by! enjoy your weekend!

It's Your Birthday, Butterfly! :)
Coffee of the Day - Spiced Cinnamon
Today is my sister-in-law's birthday and I'm sharing with all of YOU the card I made for her. :) I don't know about y'all, but I have been absolutely terrible about actually sending the cards I make, so finally resolved to get better this year. hopefully this one reached her by today! :) we so rarely get to see any of our family members since they all live so far away.
I'm using this beautiful 'Silhouette - Butterfly Flowers' image from Bugaboo. it's also Throwback Thursday over on the Bugaboo challenge and inspiration blog if you'd like to pop over to see what some of the other team members have created using some of the older images from the store. it's nice to see new life given to the older images. :)
I printed the image onto watercolor paper, cut it using a Spellbinders circle die, and went to town with my SU! ink refills and brushes. once I finished, I sprayed the entire piece with pearl glimmer mist for a lovely sparkle. matting die is also by Spellbinders.
wooden veneer butterfly is one I found at Michaels. it was inked and then lightly painted with acrylic paint. once that dried, I added touches of distress stickles. flourish die is by Tim Holtz. flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, birthday sentiment stamp is by a company that is retired, and buttons are from my vintage stash. mineral ice diamond satin ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
thank you so much for stopping by! hope to see you again tomorrow! :)

Cute Card Thurs - little bugs/butterflies

Dear Santa...
Coffee of the Day - Chocolate Peppermint
It's time for some mid month Christmas inspiration for you courtesy of the DT over at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Extra Challenge blog! please head over to the blog to see the fabulous cards the team has created so help you get a head start on those Christmas cards! :) link up your cards so you'll be in the running for a great prize from Bugaboo Stamps!
speaking of Bugaboo, since I'm a Guest Designer with them until the end of July, I combined my card with Humor Me Wednesday on the challenge and inspiration blog. pop over there, too, because there are some fun samples by the Bugaboo team! :)
gosh, after all of that lead up, aren't you anxious to finally see my card?! ha! well who else should appear but the infamous Stella! everyone loves this sassy lady, that is for sure! I would venture to say she is probably one of the more popular characters in the Bugaboo store! :)
I've combined the 'Stella - Dear Santa Note' image with papers from the Basic Grey 25th and Pine collection. Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, a burlap doily, vintage buttons & holly sprig, little ticket & banner, as well as an assortment of ribbons and baker's twine make for a fun holiday card. lots of shimmerz paint accents here, too.
sorry that the camera glare seems to have covered up the word 'all' on the first line of the text. it should read - "I was good ALL year."
yeah, me neither. I can't make it a month. nope, not even a week. my sassy self just can't help but cause a bit of mischief. ;)
take care and have a fabby day! love ya!

Altered Floral Bee Hive Bottle
Winner at Card and Scrap
Winner and Top 3 Pick at Quick Quotes
Winner at Country View Crafts
Coffee of the Day - Vanilla Hazelnut
Welcome to my stop on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog hop! grab a cup of coffee and get ready for some fun inspiration with the current monthly ribbon kit! this is my last post as a member of the Design Team. Bonnie is one of the most gracious people I have had the opportunity to work for. thank you, Bonnie, for your kindness!
now you have probably arrived here from GINNY'S most fabulous blog. if at any time you lose your way along the hop, you can always head over to the RRR main blog for the complete list. you'll also want to stop by there at the end for a chance to win your very own ribbon kit!
as soon as I saw the maize honeycomb satin ribbon, I knew I wanted to create something with a bee theme, but wasn't sure what. then I was inspired by this beautiful altered bottle with the adorable bee skep on top, and got busy making my own.
I created the bee skep on top with the 4 mm twisted hemp rope. I wanted to keep the natural color rather than coloring it, as was done in the inspiration bottle.
the bottle took a bit of preparation, first getting a coat of gesso to get it ready for several coats of different shades of acrylic paints. stamping was done with black Staz-on ink and Prima chalk inks. stamps are from Heidi Grace and SU! honeycomb stencil is by Studio Calico.
pretty little bee charms were inked with alcohol re-inkers and Staz-on to give them a bit of age. straw sunflowers are from my stash and go so perfectly with the overall feel of the bottle. Tim Holtz distress crackle paints in 2 shades were painted over the bottle in small areas to help give an aged look.
maize taffeta ribbon from the club kit was distressed with several shades of ink and tied into a big fluffy bow along with the honeycomb satin, moss mini ric rac, and brown burlap string.
if you would like to see more detailed photos, just click on the pic. it will take you to a larger photo. I'm probably going to send this to my MIL for her upcoming birthday. I think she will like it! :)
now head on over to CHERYL'S beautiful blog for more inspiration! be sure to leave her a comment to let her know how much you love what she has made for you. :)
thanks so much for stopping by! y'all are the best!

Let's Hit the Surf!
Coffee of the Day - Caribbean Hazelnut
All of us in the crafty world love free images, and today is Freebie Friday over at Bugaboo! head to the store to check out this fella, Johnny Surf. if he isn't in the store yet, he will be shortly. until then, you can see the entire Johnny collection here. he is quite the busy guy! stop by the challenge and inspiration blog to see all of the fun projects made by the team using the image.
I kept my card on the simple side since I want to mail it off to Ryan while he's away for the summer doing his internship. this way it can fit into an envelope easily, as opposed to the big padded ones I normally use to send my cards.

Message in a Bottle Mermaid
Crafting By Designs Spotlight
World Wide Open Design Team Favorite
Coffee of the Day - Maple Fudge
Hello to all of you! the weekend is just around the corner! can you see signs of it yet? ;)
We have a new challenge over on the Aud Sentiments blog with an 'Under the Sea plus a sentiment' theme. our sponsor is the ever so lovely Aurora Wings, and we all know you want a chance to win that prize! there are some gorgeous projects on the blog to inspire your creativity, so go take a looksie!
I am using the beautiful 'Mermaid's Wish' image on my card today. isn't she gorgeous? the paper is some I had made originally for Mick's set of octopus cards. I made enough knowing that I had this beauty to create, too. ;) they were made with gelatos, glimmer mist, and SU! ink refills on watercolor paper. doily is sprayed with a lovely glimmer mist mixture as well.
flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts & Petaloo, a Martha Stewart fern punch was used to replicate coral and seaweed, dies are both by Spellbinders, and buttons are from my vintage stash. sentiment, cheesecloth bg stamp (hard to see on the handmade paper), and my ever fave little banner punch are by SU!
moss mini ric rac ties a bow made from foxglove hand dyed silk ribbon and natural burlap string. I had to add some little shells to complete the card. they seemed the perfect touch for this undersea world! :) touches of shimmerz paint and the wink of stella glitter pen were added to the main image for some extra shine and sparkle.
thank you so much for stopping by! enjoy your day!
Jennifer
