Coffee/Tea of the Day - Cinnamon Macadamia Nut coffee
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends here in the USA! I hope you are surrounded by family and friends, counting your many blessings. :) I know I am so grateful, every day!
I am sharing the card I made to send to a few very special folks. Our middle son will not be able to be with us this holiday because of living so far away. St. Louis just isn't as close to Ohio as Michigan. ;) Our other sons and their wives will be driving in tomorrow to spend the weekend with us. While we will miss Mick and Lauren, I know it will be a wonderful time with everyone else. I am so excited to see them again!
One of David's sisters and her husband spent a few days with us last week. They live in Texas, so other than weddings, we don't get to see them often. Thankfully there are 2 weddings next year, so we will have several opportunities for visiting and fun times!
so on to my card -
the beautiful vintage images are from The Graphics Fairy. plaid paper is by Bella Blvd., gorgeous brown textured ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. the leaves were die cut from the Tim Holtz Fall Foliage die set, using cardstocks that were sprayed with an assortment of distress oxide sprays. so many lovely colors irl! the little acorn cap I picked up out at Camp. I love using bits of nature on my project, especially in the fall.
Have a most glorious holiday and weekend!
Jennifer

Thanksgiving Wishes!
Coffee/Tea of the Day - Cinnamon Chestnut Coffee
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends who live here in the States! :)
May you enjoy peace and happiness with those you hold most dear! May you find yourselves surrounded by joy all throughout the day. I pass these thoughts along to everyone, no matter where in this beautiful world you happen to reside! :)
please forgive me for being away for so long. my seizures have been so very bad of late. it's difficult to be on the computer, much less attempt any crafting. I think I have made one card in the past month. will try to get it uploaded to the blog at some point soon. I do still have Christmas blog candy, but many of us make holiday cards all year long, so that will still be timely even if I don't get it posted soon.
have a fabulous day! I hold you all in my thoughts! :)

Altered Table Decoration for Thanksgiving
Winner at My Sheri Crafts
Coffee of the Day - Dulce De Leche
Happy Monday to all of you! and a big hello to my newest followers as well. :)
I have a fun Thanksgiving project to share with you today. it's part 2 of the gift set I began showing you last week on this post.
I mentioned that I am notorious for saving ribbon scraps. what I didn't say was that I save all kinds of things for my crafting. my project for today shows you how fun it is to re-purpose everyday items found around your home! :)
The base to this decoration is actually an almond can. the top 2 pieces are old ribbon spools that were spray painted white. Miscellaneous ribbons, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, vintage buttons, digital scrapbook paper (from Far Far Hill), burlap and silk leaves, and foam fruit decorate the tower. touches of various stickles add sparkle and shine.
I'll fill this with a yummy nut snack mix and then hubby will give it to some friends of ours this week.
I hope you are inspired to create something fun of your own with things you have around your house! Really Reasonable Ribbon has so many gorgeous trims and ribbons to add the perfect touch! :)
Ribbons and trims used:
tower - autumn diagonal striped grosgrain, delicate stitched satin old gold, wired woven check brown/white, seam binding dusty olive, burlap string orange
card - silky crush olive, shimmer satin tangerine with gold, autumn diagonal striped grosgrain
Wild Orchid Crafts flowers:
10 mm open roses, 15 mm open roses, cosmos, cherry blossoms, rosebuds
Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
Challenges:
Dragonfly Dreams - fall colors
613 Avenue Create - anything goes
My Sheri Crafts - Happy Thanksgiving
Catch the Bug - bingo: button, texture, flower
Art by Miran - anything goes
Simply Papercraft - anything goes
Whimsy Inspires - anything goes holidays

A Harvest Cornucopia with Paper Temptress!
Coffee of the Day - Spiced Pecan
Hello, everyone! Today is my first ever post as a new member of the fabby Paper Temptress Design Team! woooo hooo to that! :) I hope you are as excited as I am to see how everyone uses the fun products carried in the PT store. so much inspiration!!!
I decided to grab some of the Neenah Desert Storm cs to create a cute little cornucopia for Thanksgiving. I confess here and now that I am a kraft cs junkie. I go through tons of it. this particular cs has a nice weight to it without being too heavy. LOVE it! ;) easy to both die cut and emboss, which I did here. I used the Petal Cone die and Square Lattice embossing folder, both by SU!
I added bows made from the lush pink and brown reversible satin ribbon and coffee brown twine. (just a heads up, if this twine is ever sold out in the store, it will be all my fault!!! grins! this is amazing stuff!!)
I used the same twine to wrap around the mouth of the cornucopia as well as to tie the bag of goodies that were tucked inside. so handy! the rest of the cornucopia was decorated with pieces from a pretty leaf pick I found at my local Michael's craft store. just added a few stickles around the edges of one of the leaves to give some glim glam and then a special vintage button. the beautiful bows with PT items set it all off so nicely, don't you think? :) perfect way to dress it up but still keep the rustic, harvest-y feel!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back soon with another post. :) Jennifer

Thankful for YOU! :)
Coffee of the Day - Eggnog
Why yes, I am thankful for YOU! grins! y'all put up with my long absences, and I really appreciate you hanging in with me. all of you so rock the casbah! :)
the Simply Betty group over on Facebook has a challenge to use this cute image, add pleats, use autumn colors, and then frame the sentiment that comes with the image. phew..... that is a bunch of stuff to do, especially for someone like me who does not do well with adding those fine details to my watercoloring. but I did try. must say it is not one of my best efforts, but try I did. ;)
the frame for the sentiment comes from Graphics Fairy. isn't it gorgeous? papers are Basic Grey Indian Summer. I am gonna be crying in my coffee when I use the last of this precious collection. it is one of my all time faves. the fabby embossing folder is by Sizzix, and the oval die is Spellbinders. everything else is from my stash.

I absolutely LOVE Thanksgiving! it is probably my most fave of all of the holidays! the idea of being thankful for all with which we've been blessed makes my heart and soul just SOAR! :) plus getting together with family and friends is one of the best things to make this old gal get jiggy..... tee hee!

Blessings - yes, I got crafty! :)
Coffee of the Day - Sweet Potato
Your eyes are not deceiving you - yes, I did actually make a card! :)
hopefully this will be the first of many!
I have to give LOTS of credit to the very amazing and encouraging people over at Kit and Clowder - a wonderful group of crafters I have come to know on Facebook. yes, nice people DO exist on Facebook. ;) my card is made for one of the challenges going on in the group there. this happens to be for the sketch challenge.
image and sentiment are from the Crafty Secrets Thanksgiving collection. papers are from the Authentique Thankful collection, flowers are Petaloo, burlap ribbon is May Arts, and buttons are vintage. I added some touches with my white gel pen and white craft ink.
sorry for the scan being a bit crooked. it's been so long since I've used my scanner that it was giving me some fits. took me way too many tries to get it to work, as it kept turning off on me. so once I was able to get it to actually scan, I just went with it.

So Thankful!
Coffee of the Day - Pumpkin Spice 'cause I love it so and the day just calls for it! :)
Happy Thanksgiving to every single one of you! it doesn't matter where you live, each day is a reason to be thankful! We are all blessed to overflowing, and I count myself saturated! grins!
Every day I awake to more and more blessings, even in the midst of this journey I currently travel. the sun is shining, dear friends. I went to sleep last night to the joyful sound of all 3 of my sons laughing hysterically all throughout the evening while they played on their game systems. my dogs were cuddled up tight beside me on the bed; my husband was working in the kitchen downstairs on a special brine for our turkey. my life is full and complete. I am happy! I pray the same for each of you! :)

Calendar Girls Blog Hop with TLC!
Coffee of the Day - Butter Rum
You are here for a faboo stop on the Create with TLC Calendar Girls Blog Tour! woooo hooooo! You know I have coffee, so grab a cup and rest a bit. Haven't the projects so far been fantastic?! whoa nelly! :) and Paulette is a dream to offer so many wonderful freebies for ALL of us to enjoy!
to save the free calendar pages on my blog, please -----> right click on the piccy from my blog. then you can save directly to your compy or flash drive. easy peasy pumpkin pie! :)

First we are visiting the patriotic month of July, at least here in the USA. I love my country soooooo much and am proud as punch to be an American! I added this fun vintage pair of boys with the flag images, also from Paulette and TLC, right over my calendar page. this is so simple to do with digis and PNG files. senti comes from TLC as well.
papers are K & Co. Americana, main image was sponged with sahara sand ink and then sprayed with coffee glimmer mist for a bit of shine. stars were accented with my white gel pen. the white star was punched from a piece of corrogated cardboard packing from tacos the other night. it was too wonderful to throw out! grins! denim belt loops came from some boy's pair of jeans before tossing - they go through them like wild fire around here, so I have a BUNCH of belt loops for projects! blue jeans and the USA just go together, imo! ;)

Next we come to November, time for one of my fave ever holidays - Thanksgiving. again I added additional PNG images from Create with TLC, re-sizing them and moving them around over the calendar until I was happy with the look. then I hit 'print' and ta da!
papers are Basic Grey Indian Summer, glitter leaf is Making Memories (my last one... boo hoo!!!), buttons are vintage, and trim is from JoAnn's, I believe. senti also comes from Paulette and is one of my all time faves. I use it quite a bit, especially for Thanksgiving cards. the calendar was sprayed with several shades of glimmer mist for a mutl-color shine.
now refill your coffee cup and head over to ---> Marsha's blog, Stamping Down South, for some more amazing inspiration! thanks for stopping by! :)

Thanksgiving Challenge at The Stamping Boutique
Welcome to a new challenge over at The Stamping Boutique challenge blog! the theme for this go 'round is Thanksgiving. and being the rebel that I am, I am the only one who didn't use the cute Pilgrim images offered by Tracey in the store..... oh well. someone has to be the oddball..... guess that is always gonna be ME! grins!

for my card I used the fun Pumpkin Pie image. maybe it's because we spent last week baking pumpkins to freeze for later use. I am a pumpkin fanatic, as if you didn't know already!, and love to have pumpkin ready to use for waffles, scones, soup, or whatever, WHENever the fancy strikes! :)
senti comes from Create with TLC, papers are My Mind's Eye A Happy Heart, tag die is PTI, flowers are Prima, buttons are vintage. this poor card just about was the end of me, I tell ya. the embossing folder kept giving me fits. the glimmer mist that is on both the senti and masked on the main image did fine on my 'test squirt' but decided to get all globby when I actually started spraying the crucial parts. I'm almost out, so I guess that is the problem, but man, why does it happen when it matters?! ;) hence, the weird blobs on my card. boy, I have never been more happy to finally get one card finished in my life! whew..... but I'll be giving this to Jocelyn's family when they arrive for Thanksgiving. I hope they like it and can overlook my flaws.
well I have baked the cornbread for the dressing so far today, washed almost all of the bed linens as well as several loads of laundry, and made the most important part next to the mashed potatoes in the eyes of my sons - the Ranch Crackers! grins! so the list is slowly dwindling down.... but it is fun, too. Chris Tomlin is playing in the bg LOUD to keep me motivated and focused on what is important. :)
back with y'all later! hugs and love to each of you!
Di's Digis - fall colors
Bizzy Bec's - circles

New re-releases at A Day for Daisies ;)
yes, it's my 2nd post for the day, but I want to tell you about a line of special images that Tammy is re-releasing just for the Thanksgiving holiday over at A Day for Daisies. each of these digis is a treasure I am sure you will enjoy!
Also, you still have almost a week left to play along in our flocking challenge. I do hope you will try this neat technique!

For my card, I combined 2 of the images featured this week - Pretty Turkey and Wild Fall Blossom. The flowers were inserted twice, with one of them being flipped. I wanted it to look as if the turkey was out in its native habitat. hopefully that was achieved..... Papers are a combo of Basic Grey collections - Piccadilly, Basic Manilla, and Capella. the flowers on the main image were painted with shimmerz while the little flower on the twigs was sprayed with sparkle shimmer spray. the cardboard was first inked with vanilla craft and then sprayed with walnut gold glimmer mist. buttons are from my vintage stash.
Basic Grey - mix & match
Party Time Tuesday - sketch and/or Thanksgiving/thanks related (I did use the sketch)
MelJen's - orange and/or brown
Crafting for All Seasons - sketch, thank you, or Thanksgiving
Penny's Paper Crafty - Thanksgiving/thanks
Simon Says Stamp - Thanksgiving/thank you
Whimsical Wednesday - Thanksgiving
Paper Cutz - turkey
Sweet 'n Sassy - birds
Die Cut Divas - let's talk turkey (Spellbinders Nesties Label 5 - 2 different sizes cut)
La Vinkingas - Picadilly of the new collections :)

Holiday with a splash of Red
A Day for Daisies has a challenge ending today to use any ADFD image to create a holiday project with a splash of red. I wanted to play along, but decided to make a Thanksgiving card rather than a Christmas one. mainly 'cause I just knew this cutey little squirrel would be precious paper pieced! :) he reminds me of my buddy who plays on the rafters of our front porch who was back again yesterday to entertain me. he has the best time running across the tree limbs, hopping onto the rafters, jumping into the bird's nest, and then starting the relay circuit all over again! he makes me smile to watch him! :)
I used these amazing papers from Echo Park For the Record and added some extra color to my chubby squirrel friend with watercolors and craft ink. then I did the unthinkable - wrinkled him up and squished him good! great to add more texture! before I added the paper pieced portion, I sprayed the main image with walnut gold glimmer mist to help age. the crochet trim is actually on the inside of the card. I tore the front edge and inked with vanilla craft. the seam tape is hand dyed. buttons came from one of David's shirts that had seen far better days. ;) the sentiment is a Basic Grey rub-on. leaves are cut from a Tim Holtz die.
Through the Craft Room Door - textures
Digital Tuesday - celebrate the seasons
Really Reasonable Ribbon - autumn plus ribbon
Challenge up your life - paper piecing
For Fun Challenges - red, brown, yellow
Deep Ocean - lace
Shopping our Stash - vintage
Sentimental Sundays - autumn
