Friendly Monster Feet
Today I want to share a fun card with you that shows one of the best things about true friends- we love each other for who we REALLY are, warts and all, good times and bad! ;)
this great image comes from The Stamping Boutique and is called 'A Crowded Mash'. papers are Cosmo Cricket Matilda. flower was made with a SU! punch and Prima, centered with a brad. buttons are all from my vintage stash. more of that fabby Etsy baker's twine makes an appearance as well. the little 'friends' tag was punched from a scrap of vintage book paper. some faux stitching with a black glitter spica pen was added around the card base, while stickles cover the witchy shoes and werewolf slipper's polka dots.

Anything Goes at Party Time Tuesday!
This week at Party Time Tuesday is one of everyone's fave challenges - anything goes! We have some very special sponsors, too
anaRydesign is a design house of scrapbooking and craft products. It is also the home of the ‘Gilli’ line of deep-etched rubber stamps. ‘Gilli’ is a collection of rubber stamps for you to make your own. Endless creativity is in your hands! Bring Gilli with you on your journey into the imaginative and artistic world of paper crafts and let her join in on the fun!
Winner will receive a Gilli Goodie Bag
I have always been a crafter. I enjoy making fun, silly, sassy handmade cards, scrapbook pages, and fun art projects for my friends and family to give as gifts. Creative Clear Stamps started as a solution to my own stamping needs. I had searched the web looking for fun themed stamp sets, but few portrayed my personality, sense of humor, and special interests. In 2004 I went back to school, and earned a degree in Graphic Design and Desktop Publishing (one of the best things I have ever done for myself ). I worked as a freelance graphic designer under the name Creative Vision for a few years before I decided to start my own line of clear stamps. In early 2008, after many hours behind the computer and away from my craft room, the very first stamp sets were born.
I am very excited to finally be able to share my creative vision with you! Inside my store you will find unique themed stamp sets not found anywhere else. My creative stamps are sure to inspire your scrap booking and card making creativity. All of the stamps are made in the USA from a premium photopolymer, which is similar to acrylic only higher in quality and will make a wonderful addition to your current rubber stamping supplies.
One winner will receive a Creative Vision Clear Stamp set!
Thanks so much to our fabulous sponsors for letting the Party Planners showcase your products!
for my card I used both a digital stamp from The Paper Shelter and a clear sentiment stamp from Creative Vision. the yummy sundae digi was printed onto K & Co. designer paper and then cut with a SU! die. cherries were covered with a lght coating of crystal effects & sprinkles were made with a pink glitter gel pen. this senti from Creative Vision makes me laugh each time I see it. what better thing to make you lose your grip on reality than a stack of sundaes!?!?! button is from my vintage stash and baby roses are Prima. the doily seemed the perfect touch with all of those delish sundaes!
hope you play along in the challenge with us! can't wait to see what you make! :)

As always, there are some fantastic inspiration projects over on the blog, so be sure to stop by! I can't wait to see what YOU make! :)
I chose these 2 digis - Leif monster, which I made much smaller, and Twisty Tree, which I made a tad bigger. papers are Basic Grey Indian Summer. leaves were cut with the Tim Holtz tattered leaves die. lace trim is vintage as are the buttons. flowers are Prima with a dew drop center. senti is SU! stamped in vanilla craft which was also sponged all over to help distress. a great fall card to send to one of my sons off at college.....

for my Paper Cupcakes post, please click here.
The new challenge at Heart Song Designs is to use a tag and/or ribbon on your papercraft projects. Please stop by the blog to see some gorgeous inspiration by the DT! so many pretty samples to get your crafty mojo going!
I used the fun image Chick Parade for my card, along with papers from the Cosmo Cricket Salt Air collection. There are little accents of white gel pen, stickles, and shimmerz paint, as well as buttons & baby prima flowers. the senti tag uses a stamp from SU!. under the fun pom pom trim is satin ribbon, but the card just seemed to really need the whimsy of the pom poms!
The Pretty Doily at Kaboodle Doodles
It's a bittersweet post for this one for Kaboodle Doodles, as it's the last one for my DT term. I have met some very kind people while serving on this term. This week our challenge is to use a doily on your papercraft project. The sponsor is Digis by Phooka, who will award one winner 3 digis of their choice.
I have chosen to use the Penguin with Igloo images for my card. papers are Basic Grey Nordic Holiday. it's a bit hard to see in the scan, but I also used chunky glitter on the igloo image for snow. the senti is a SU! rub-on. faux stitching has been added. the felt snowflake is also SU!

As always, Nina has a great free image on the blog for you to use if you would like. You do not need to use one of our digital images to play along, but of course we would love to see a Paper Cupcakes image used. Please note: Everyone that uses a Paper Cupcake's image will be entered into the drawing twice to win.
For my card I used the fun fall image, Bushel of Blessings. the papers are Basic Grey Indian Summer. leaves were cut with the Tim Holtz tattered leaves die and sprayed with several shades of glimmer mist. senti is a SU! rub-on and buttons are from my vintage stash.

Just a few things......
Hello! no card today, but a few other things I wanted to share on a personal note.
Our youngest son knows the kindness of so many of you, so he has asked me to let you know about a fundraiser the music program in our school district is currently running. it can be accessed online, so I am posting info here for any of you who might be interested in participating. music is so important to our family. I applaud his enthusiasm, not in wanting to earn prizes for himself, because I don't think internet orders count toward any, but because the music program means that much to him. go to http://www.helpourprogram.com/ and enter group id # 3253. you can order from there if you would like. if you would like my son's info to enter that as well, you may email me. thank you so much! :)
now on to something else that has happened that I simply MUST mention ~ if you come to my blog very often you know that my faith is very important to me. I don't scream about it nor do I try to preach from a pulpit. that is not who I am. I try not to be a finger shaking Christian because honestly, that is a big turn off to me, and I'm already God's child..... on 2 separate ocassions this week God has used people to show His love for my family in some most amazing ways. both completely unexpected, both done with purity and His quiet gentleness, but both completely blew the socks off of my husband and I because we saw these acts for what they were. people - God loves you. He cares for the most small details of your life. don't ever get caught up in the lie that He is too busy to care. He used everyday ordinary people to do some very extra-ordinary things for us. and they may not even know just how much those acts touched us. but we immediately said prayers for thanksgiving. and I am thanking these beautiful people right now, right here for their generosity of spirit.

Inspired by Color with Jellypark Friends
It's a fun Friday of 'new' over at Jellypark today - new releases and new challenges! I think you'll really like all that we have in store! ;)
just a real quick update on the homefront - Ryan's interview with 'Up with People' went very well. I had posted about it over on Facebook, but failed to mention it here. several of you posted your encouragement there though, and he was so touched! thank you! I don't know how long it will take before he hears back, but I know the experience alone was wonderful for him. Mick & Jocelyn come back home to work at Camp this weekend. they'll be here at the house tomorrow evening and Sunday. Tyler might even come back tomorrow, it just depends on timing of things. this is Family weekend at Akron and he is on so many events and Emerging Leaders committeess involved with it, he isn't sure what time he might make it back...... but I just MIGHT have my entire family home for a bit this weekend! hip hip hooray!!!!!
okay, back to Jellypark fun! I used this adorable new digi called 'Girl with Christmas Stocking' for my card. the challenge is to visit the Design Seeds blog and choose a color palette. create a project based on the colors you have chosen & then post the palette on your blog. I don't know if you may have noticed, but I have had the Design Seeds blinkie on my blog for a while now. it actually rotates color palettes! how cool is that?! I honestly spent over an hour gazing at the MANY beautiful palettes available on their blog and never made it past the last few months - there are THAT many!
anyway, papers on my card are Echo Park Season's Greetings. what looks like a yellow bg is really the same shade of green as the tree irl..... some days my scanner is spot on and others it has a life of its own! the top of the stocking is accented with white flower soft. the tree was sprayed with frost smooch and accented with fun buttons. the poinsettia is Making Memories and was distressed prior to adhering.
on a bit of a sad note, our fellow Jellypark DT member Diane is leaving us with this challenge. she has no idea just how much she is going to be missed by all of us. please pop by her blog and let her know how much you have enjoyed her crafty inspiration! :)

Seek Me with All Your Heart
Today's project to share is one very near and dear to my heart. It's been in the works for a while and something I've been doing between DT things when I could..... A very special young lady to our family asked me to make a decoration for her dorm room door several weeks ago. something she could hang from a hook and used her favorite color - purple. I was tickled she asked me to make something to special for her, so of course I said yes right away. but I knew it had to be as precious as she is to our entire family, so I prayed & prayed for God's help in making it just right. it didn't have to please anyone but her, and when she looked at it, she just had to see His light shining from it. that's all I wanted. big request, huh?! I did want it to reflect her personality as well though, so her faith shows up as well as her love of music.
The images come from A Day for Daisies. The beautiful Bible verse is from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique Sentiments. papers are My Mind's Eye 29th Street Market. flowers are Prima, buttons are a mix of stash and vintage. trim is vintage and Prima. distress stickles were used for accents. lots of acrylic paints, glimmer mists in several colors, and touches with the spica glitter gel pen were also used. Mod Podge was my good friend through the days it took to complete this project. :)
She and Mick come home this weekend, so I will give it to her then. I sure hope she enjoys it. but more than anything, I hope she sees the love God has for her every time she opens her door.....

We are a small family Craft business that came about when as a card making family, my daughters and young granddaughters and I that is! Not our men who do not make cards, although my husband has had a go....Could never find the stamps and crafts that we had seen advertised! So, in the end we decided to start up Crafts and Me, so that we could get the products we wanted not only for us, but to offer to other crafters like you. We love the different ranges of stamps and crafts that we get from all over the world and we hope you will love them too.... Our aim is to give you the best possible customer service that we can, and to treat our customers just as we would want to be treated ourselves.
Heart Song Designs offers hand drawn digital stamp images perfect for all your papercrafting needs. We offer a variety of images from elegant to super cute. Come visit us at www.heartsongdesignsshop.com and find digis that make your heart sing.
for my card I used the fun cupcake tier image from Heart Song Designs and Basic Grey Bittersweet papers. I flipped the sketch on its side. the senti comes from Create wit TLC. the little resin rose is from SU!. buttons are from my vintage stash, gorgeous lace trim is from Etsy. I overstamped the image with one of my old SU! script bg stamps. some of the cupcakes are covered in the same pink stickles that outlines the senti tag. lots of faux stitching with a white gel pen completes the card. oh yes, the actual cupcake holder was outlined with a spica glitter pen for some sparkle. and I don't think anyone is the least bit surprised that I chose pink for my color!!!! tee hee!
Sentimental Sundays - monochromatic

There are some fabby creations by the DT to inspire you on the challenge blog, too, so please stop by.
I have used the new release, 'Autumn Friend'. it is so much fun to color and comes with several sentiments. papers are from the Echo Park Victora Garden collection. the sunflower centers were dotted with distress stickles. the button is a vintage one I've been saving for just the right card. I think this is it! ;) I absolutely adore the paper sunflowers I came across a while back at some little craft store.... again - perfect here! leaf is a millinery one by Making Memories.

Papers are Echo Park Victoria Garden. this most precious fairy playing dress up is Arelia. she comes with the attached senti, too. I added lots of shimmerz and glitter pen touches to the image. the flower is completely made of fabric layers, with the exception of the button topper. other buttons on the card are from my vintage stash. some pink satin ribbons, baby primas, and faux stitching finish the card.

'T is for ..." with Happileigh Scrappin'
for my Kaboodle Doodles post, please click here.
Today is a fun new challenge over at Happileigh Scrappin - 'T is for .....'. You can make any kind of papercraft project that uses something that starts with the letter 'T'. let your imagination take flight, because sadly, this is our last Happileigh Scrappin' challenge. yep, Leigh is closing the challenge blog. so be sure to play along in this one, friends. you can win some of her amazing images. she has some fabby new releases out this week, and I know you don't want to miss any of those. please also stop by the other DT members' blogs to tell them how much you have appreciated their hard work and dedication. I know it will mean a lot to them. :)
of course I had to go with a teapot for my card..... it just made sense! Papers are from the Basic Grey Nook & Pantry collection. it doesn't show well in the scan, but the dragonfly is painted in shimmerz. I added a fun tea tag, some dew drops, prima trim & flower, vintage button, and doily. every teapot needs a doily! the hobnail dots of the teapot are accented with stickles. I sprayed the entire main image with my SU! ink squirty tool to help add some age.
A Card for Someone Special
This week at Paper Cupcakes, we are being asked to create a card for someone special. well gosh, I have a lot of someone specials in my life, so it was hard to decide for whom to make a card. but as soon as I saw this cutey snake on a skateboard, I knew Mick was getting a card in the mail! :) in fact, he received it at school over the weekend and texted how much he loved the card - most especially the snake!
I wanted to give this card an edge, so I pulled out papers from the Basic Grey Obscure collection. these are some funky-do papers! and absolutely perfect for this card! Mick is really into his longboard and takes it with him all over campus. he and his girlfriend had it specially designed this summer, so he's very proud of it. I was tickled when I found this tag in Ryan's room because the pipeline is a skating term. onto the card it went! Mick caught onto that right away..... the zipper is another one of my repurpsed finds..... yep, I pretty much save everything, but they look so cool on these guy cards! the star is punched from cardboard and then inked with white craft. little dots of stickles accent the snake. I painted in the sidewalk to give the fella something to skate on, just like Mick on campus.

Prima trim and leaf, some fun baker's twine, a mix of new & vintage buttons, dots made with a white gel pen, and a senti tag with Basic Grey rub-on saying 'autumn splendor' complete the card. plenty of layers here! :)

I seem to be doing this a lot with my chipboard lately! the little birds on the image were painted with shimmerz to give them a bit of shine and sparkle. oh yes, that fabby ruffle ribbon rose is from Jolee's. isn't it beautiful? Our new challenge is a photo inspiration one. I love this photo! such great colors and textures, and man, do I want that wallpaper in my dining room! grins! I have a thing for toile.... sigh......
I chose this wonderful image from Jellypark to start my card. just seemed right since our photo is a bathroom with tub! ;) and the person I am sending this to is recuperating from surgery, so I want her to kick back and relax as much as possible. hopefully this card will encourage her to do just that! papers are old Crate Paper Twirl. the wine glass in covered in crystal effects, bubbles are covered in stickels, and the flowers on the tub & dots on the tub mat are made with a pearly gel pen. green is sooooooooooo not scanning for me right now, but the tub mat is green irl. that AMAZING crochet trim is a bit of vintage that I picked up with David when we were at a lovely little antique shop a few weeks back. isn't it gorgeous? just seemed so perfect to use here.... buttons are vintage as well. reminds me of how my great-grandmother's bathroom used to always look......

Holiday with a splash of Red
I used these amazing papers from Echo Park For the Record and added some extra color to my chubby squirrel friend with watercolors and craft ink. then I did the unthinkable - wrinkled him up and squished him good! great to add more texture! before I added the paper pieced portion, I sprayed the main image with walnut gold glimmer mist to help age. the crochet trim is actually on the inside of the card. I tore the front edge and inked with vanilla craft. the seam tape is hand dyed. buttons came from one of David's shirts that had seen far better days. ;) the sentiment is a Basic Grey rub-on. leaves are cut from a Tim Holtz die.

It's a recipe challenge at The Stamping Boutique
A new challenge started over at The Stamping Boutique and I wanted to play along 'cause, well, I am a new member of the Design Team! wooo hooooo! feels like old times to be part of this wonderful team again!
The recipe is to use 4 colors, 3 embellies, 2 designer papers, and 1 digital image. I am quickly discovering that greens don't scan worth poo on my scanner, but it does so well with everything else and has hung in there for me for a long time, so I can't complain about anything else with it..... papers are Cosmo Cricket DeLovely. I used the Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die to cut the 2 yellow flowers (1 from the CC paper). the other flower is a Prima. little bits of stickles were added to the main image as well as shimmerz paint and a spica glitter pen. so there is a lot of shine on this card! :)
As soon as I have a complete blog list of the DT, I will post it on my sidebar. I know you'll want to stop by to tell everyone congratulations!

Glitter and Chipboard at Heart Song Inspiration
I love this new challenge over at Heart Song Designs Inspirations this week - use glitter and/or chipboard on your papercraft projects. Leah has so many wonderful images that are perfect for this challenge! and of course she has a cute freebie available if you would like to grab it over on the blog.....
I have been trying to get better about using some of the amazing papers in my long neglected stash.... yes, you could also say 'hoarded' stash, 'cause my precious Daisy D's are included in that... sigh.... I still miss that company SOOOOO much..... anyhow, I decided it was time to pull out some of the Basic Grey 12x12 Phoebe papers that I have been saving for goodness knows what, but oh my, they are pretty to look at! ;)
I watercolored the bird song image, outlining the flowers in shimmerz paint. the music notes were also painted with shimmerz. a tiny bit was added to the bird's wings. stickles dot the flower centers. the chipboard bird & flowers were inked and then covered in stickles for some extra sparkly shine. a touch of stitched ribbon, some dew drops, and SU! rub-on senti finish the card. simple, but I think fun!
do stop by the Heart Song Inspirations blog to see the other projects created by the fabby DT! and then add your own creation to mr. linky! :)
Ribbons, Tim, & Fibers, Oh My!
We have a fun new challenge starting over at Party Time Tuesday - ribbons, trim, & fibers! you know this is right up MY alley! ;)
Our sponsors this week are:
Jen's Digi's
I would like to tell you a little about myself and my company. My name is Jennifer and I am the owner and creator of Jensdigistamps.com. I have been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil. I have done many jobs in my life including being a hair dresser for the past 20 years but art has always been my passion and my love. I am in art galleries through out Ohio with my fine art but cartooning is a huge passion of mine. I have created jensdigistamps to give creative people fun images to work with. I also love meeting people who use my images and I am always looking for new ideas.
Be sure to check out my work at www.jensdigistamps.com and feel free to contact me with any questions or ideas you may have.
Tiffany Doodles
Hi! I'm Tiffany, owner of TiffanyDoodles. My background is web design, graphic design & photography. I have been self employed for nine years and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my work! Since childhood, I've always been creative and taken great pleasure in drawing and painting. In 2009, I discovered the stamping and paper crafting world and just fell in love!! In a very short order, I began transforming some of my drawings and doodles into "digis". It has truly been a joy to share them with folks. I get so thrilled every time I see something new that someone has created with one of my stamps!! Each design is like a child of mine and it's really neat to see it all grown up and out in the world being all it can be... LOL
All of my digital stamps are originally created by me and of the multiple styles I offer, most are hand-drawn images. Some are brushed up in Photoshop using the pen tool to produce very clean lines and others are left with a sketchy, rustic, hand-drawn look. An additional digi-style is one that I've dubbed as PhotoSketches and these are images from my photographs which I transformed into sketches with a little help from Photoshop. These beauties make splendid realistic images for stamping!
One of the ways that I wish to say "thank you" to all of the folks that follow Tiffany Doodles is by offering a brand new Freebie every Thursday. I've received a hefty response from this, which has encouraged me to continue creating even more!! I hope you find something you like here!
Circle B Enterprises
My name is Veronica Baker thou I am known in the Scrapbooking world as Just A Pac Rat. I am the owner of Circle B Enterprises Scrapbooking and more store and Spur's Computer Cures in Webb City, MO.
I used to have around 4000 Scrapbook related items listed on Ebay for almost 10 years, but about 8 months ago I decided to go strictly my own website and store front. This decision was mostly made because of Ebay's new price increase. I like to keep my prices low (presently 50% off retail prices) and just couldn't afford to do it on Ebay anymore. I am slowly but surely getting all my inventory listed online at http://www.circlebenterprises.com
I hope you will come visit my little store often and watch it grow! Also visit me at my creative blog http://circlebenterprises.blogspot.com where I show what I have created for challenges and Operation Write Home!
For my card, I decided to get funky for Halloween with this great dress image by Tiffany Doodles. Papers are Cosmo Cricket Matilda, and the witchy legs & boots one just cracked me up! I knew I had to come up with something fun to do with that sheet! so a bit of paper piecing, some great orange stickles, a little Prima baby flower here and there, buttons (of course!), finished off with wonderful baker's twine and this wonderful ribbon from Circle B, and we have a fabby card to send to our fave party girl!
Hope you will play along with us this week!

One winner will receive 3 digis of their choice and if you use PMS digis, you get 2 bonus images for a total of 5! whoa nelly, that is a fabby prize and well worth playing along! :)
I used the Moody for Reading image since I am such a fanatic about reading every day. I must say that if I have one passion in life, that would be it - even moreso than crafting or coffee. shocking to all of you I know, but I really really MUST read every day. I can't think of one day in my life that I haven't read even one page.... anyhow, I found this quote online and was really touched by it. papers are Echo Park For the Record. seemed the perfect blend of girly old school retro for any up and coming young lady! ;) a few resin roses add to the feminine touch while stickles painted on to the little squares behind the main image add to the funky fun!
Celebrating Autumn with Happileigh Scrappin'!
for my Kaboodle Doodles post, please click here.
Happileigh Scrappin' is celebrating Autumn this week! We want to see your papercraft projects that have something to do with the fall season - it could be back to school, halloween, fall leaves, whatever your take on this wonderful season might be! As always, you do not have to use a HS image to play along, but if you do, your project will go into a special drawing for even more free images from the store! Leigh has some great new images being released this week. There is a cutie image you will receive for free with ANY purchase and her 'buy 3 get 1 free' promo sale is still going on. be sure to stop by the store to do some great shopping for the holiday card making we all are trying to get a start on.....
For my fall pumpkin card, I started with the adorable Scraggly Bear and added a pumpkin from the new Count Your Blessings set. Papers are Cosmo Cricket Matilda. the pumpkin and leaves die cuts are SU! both were edged with distress stickles. the pumpkin on the main image was covered with the same distress stickles. fun orange & white bakers twine, buttons, gingham ribbon, & grosgrain ribbon complete the card. just a happy little fall card!
Crafty Pad - goodbye summer
My Craft Spot - happy harvest
Chipboard with Kaboodle Doodles
The new challenge at Kaboodle Doodles this week is to use chipboard on your papercraft projects. Our sponsor is Simply Betty and one winner will receive 3 images from their store.
I saw the fun line of Design Team Divas and knew immediately that a few would have to go into my shopping cart! I used DT Diva Jen for my card, paired with a great senti from Create with TLC. Papers are Basic Grey Indie Bloom. her sunglasses are painted with shimmerz for extra shine. the chipboard flowers were first inked, then covered in stickles to give them a bit of sparkle as well. the rhinestone flourish is actually hot pink, but ended up looking purple in the scan. sorry about that..... I added an extra rhinestone as her earring for a bit of fun! some pink velvet ribbon finishes the card.
Delightful Challenges - bling it
Shaped Cards with Paper Cupcakes
The new challenge starting this week at Paper Cupcakes is shaped cards. You do not need to use one of our digital images to play along, but of course we would love to see a Paper Cupcakes image used. Please note: Everyone that uses a Paper Cupcake's image will be entered into the drawing twice to win. There is a cutie new freebie on the blog today called 'Sending Love Your Way' that the DT used. be sure to stop by to grab it for yourself! :) and of course you are going to see some fabby samples created by the DT while you are there. be sure to leave them some bloggy lovin'!
I used a fun chipboard tag for my card base. Paper is called Flower Tarts and it's been in my stash a while, I'm sad to say. but at least I'm using it now. ;) flowers are Prima and the fun flower trim has been accented with little baby rhinestones. the balloons were painted with shimmerz for some extra sparkle. the senti is from SU! and says 'sending you my love' - just perfect to go with this wonderful image! of course you knew I'd have to add a few buttons somewhere on my project!
hope you will play along with us!

A Day for Daisies Club Kit DT!
For my card, I used this precious image, The Perfect Gift. I have a feeling Mick will snag it to give to his wonderful girlfriend since I intentionally made it with her fave colors! ;) fairy wings are painted with shimmerz, since all fairy wings have a special sparkle! papers are K & Co. Flora & Fauna and have been sprayed with walnut gold glimmer mist. senti is from Create with TLC and has been sprayed with same walnut gold glimmer mist. rose is from SU!, buttons are from my vintage stash.
I do hope you will stop by the blog to see the gorgeous creations by my fellow teamies. they are so talented and I am thrilled to bits to serve with them! today is Friday which also means new releases! I know you will want to take a look at those cuties and the amazing projects created by the DT! :) thank you for sharing this excitement with me.

New Releases and a New Challenge at Jellypark Friends!
Today marks a new challenge as well as new releases over at Jellypark Friends! this is always exciting, as Claire draws just the cutest digis! I actually have 2 cards to show you, so let's get started....
My first card uses one of the new images, Space Rocket. paper is from an old K & Co. collection called Kazoo Kids. I love the retro/vintage feel to these papers and they were just perfect for this wonderful boy in his rocket ship! All of the little screws were dotted with a spica glitter pen & his helmet was covered in crystal effects to add a bit more dimension. the senti is a SU! rub-on. I thought the brads were fun and helped go along with the look of the screws.
For my next card, I chose to use an older image of Claire's, but am submitting it for the challenge - 'Pass it On'. (actually both cards are for the challenge) what we are asking everyone to do for the challenge is to create any kind of papercraft project that you will give to someone and then actually do it. it could be a gift bag, tag for a basket, card for a fundraiser, just something that you are going to give to another person. My card is actually for our oldest son's 21st birthday which is coming up in a few days. He has always been called a 'modern day knight' so this image was absolutely perfect for his birthday! The card has a bit of an old world feel to it, thanks in part to the papers, called Castle Tapestry. love the Celtic look to them! I wouldn't normally put lace and a big Prima on a card for Tyler, but with the regal feel to this card, I thought it worked. the metal castle charm was distressed with staz-on to take away a bit of the brightness. the senti is a bit hard to see, but it is a SU! rub-on as well. the card is legal size.
I look forward to seeing your creations for this fun challenge! and we welcome Sara Moreno as a guest Designer this month! please stop by her blog and give her a big Jellypark Friends welcome! :)
Jellypark sponsors Fetch-A-Sketch
Jellypark is sponsoring the new challenge over at Fetch-A-Sketch, so I wanted to make a card to play along. I turned the sketch sideways, (as I am known to do!) and went to town!
I used this fun Superboy image just released by Claire. he makes me giggle each time I see him! paper is from Doodlebug Designs and is pretty old from my stash. not sure if it can be found any longer..... but it seemed perfect for this cutey guy! I added a belt loop I had saved off a pair of one of the guy's shorts before tossing when they were too worn to continue wearing, and then lots & lots of fun buttons! clouds were cut from notebook paper with MFT dies. the senti comes from Create with TLC. a pretty simple card, but I like to keep any going to a guy that way if I can.
hope all of you have a wonderful day!

Prayers please for those in Texas...
Many of y'all know that I am a Texas gal, born and bred, even though transplanted into this lovely state of Ohio I adore. Almost all of my family still lives in Texas and I am having a blast re-connecting with them through FaceBook. well my heart is so heavy this morning as I learn of the horrible wildfires that are rushing through my beloved home state.
We aren't getting much media coverage of the fires up here, so what I am learning is all coming through word of mouth. I just learned this morning that one of my cousins has lost his entire home due to the fires. A very dear friend of ours is a fireman battling these fires in the Dallas area. I am putting together a basket of cards today to send out to him for a fundraiser his station is doing.
My aunt was telling me of the destruction she has seen firsthand. it is beyond what my mind can comprehend. and some of it has been caused by arson. how very sad that people make the choice to destroy so much....
Please please pray for rain to come. please please pray for safety for those not only in the path of the fire, but the ones who risk their lives to battle it. and please please pray for those who think it fun to choose to cause damage to others. may they find another choice to make instead and peace that comes from knowing a loving God.
thank you. Jennifer

Paint and/or Distressing with Heart Song Designs
I went for a more simple look this time, using the single tulip image. Papers are Cosmo Cricket DeLovely. as almost always, the image was watercolored, so that satisfies one portion of the paint challenge. But I decided to also paint the card base edges with white acrylic paint. I really like the way it dries and shows up better than the white craft ink I ususally use. Now to just not smear it everywhere! ;) Edges of the designer paper were distressed to satisfy the other portion of the challenge criteria. I ruffled a bit of white satin ribbon and then added some pretty roses I found at Michael's on a trip there a while back. a SU! rub-on senti completes the card.
Can't wait to see what YOU make for the challenge! have a most wonderful day!

Hi my name is Stitchy and I am Co-Owner of Stitchy Bear Stamps...we started this store April 1st, No Fooling haha..I live in upstate New York with my husband and two TEENAGE adults haha, I do say that loosely as they think they run the show here, NOT
I been creating stamps for a little less than a year now and I am totally addicted to the craft..I started about 4 years ago making digital scraps and I knew there was much more out there, so a friend of mine introduced me to digital stamps...and the rest they say is history...I look forward to seeing all the beautiful creations come through...good luck everyone..stitchy xoxox"
For my card I used an image from MelJen Designs found at Whimsy Stamps. I paired it with Basic Grey Indie Bloom papers and this fabby felt flower from The Little Cherry Tree. You had better believe that I will be visiting that Etsy shop! the quality of this flower is top notch, y'all! I typed out a sentiment to make this a card perfect for new grandparents and then punched it into a tag. pom pom trim is May Arts and a little baby Prima flower was added to the tag. some fun orange & white baker's twine also from Etsy finishes off the tag.
I do hope you play along with us at Party Time Tuesday! can't wait to see what you make to celebrate Grandparent's Day!
