Hello! It's an afternoon post for you here.... sorry about that. spent the morning at my oncologist's office and then the hospital. not a fun way to begin a day, but Mick popped by for the afternoon. Most certainly cheered my day right up, that is for certain! :) Always happy to see any of my fam drop by. They spend the summer out at Camp, so it's a day brightner when I get to see any of them. :)
I was tickled pink to be asked to be a guest designer over at 3 Girl JAM today. Also posting for ABC Christmas challenge, so combined them all into one happy card! The Christmas challenge this fortnight is to paper piece on your project. this is one of my fave techniques to use, so that was a fun one for me. I love the pretty ribbons from 3 Girl JAM, so it was easy to find holiday papers that went together with the colors I had. you know me, I HAD to use my pink ones! grins! isn't it so soft and lush?!
My cutie Jellypark penguin was paper pieced with papers from the Jillibean Soup Christmas Eve Chowder collection. His snowy bg was created with glimmer mist spray while he sits upon a bed of Stickles snow. Little sparkly touches were made to the hat with both gems and a spica glitter pen. The card base bg was embossed with a Basic Grey snowflake dry embossing folder by Sizzix and highlighted with vanilla craft ink. Felt snowflake comes from SU!. Peace sentiment tag was punched from a piece of vintage sheet music.
