I'm finally getting a chance to post my challenge 
card for this week for the blogging group over at SplitCoast Stampers. The challenge was to use either a verse or quote on your creation. This verse from Joshua 1:9 is the life verse for both my husband, David, and my oldest son, Tyler. It also happens to be the theme verse for Camp Burton this summer. So I thought it would be perfect for a card to send to David to encourage him throughout the summer. The colors turned out a little funky in the scanner, so I do apologize for that.

The colors turned out a little funky in the scanner, so I do apologize for that.Deets - everything is from Stampin' Up! with the exception of the bg paper which is Basic Grey, burlap ric rac (another great JoAnn's find!), and brads from Making Memories. I inked the edges of all the cs in vanilla craft ink to help lighten the overall feel of the card. Inks were blended together with a blender pen since I don't have any of the popular Copic markers. I actually have fun using my blender pen, aqua painter, and watercolor brush with the SU! ink pads to achieve different colors. It goes to show what you can do when you just use what you have! :)

Great job with the challenge. I love that Ric Rack, I haven;t ever seen that kind. Great coloring on your image, one day I am going to try and color with that method.
