It's Your Birthday, with Puppy Kisses!

Coffee of the Day - White Chocolate Macadamia

Hubby and I returned very late last night after spending 2 days visiting our youngest son in Indiana where he is currently a senior in college. it was his birthday and we wanted to spend a bit of time with him. it can be anywhere from a 5-6 hour drive depending upon road work and bathroom stops, so we don't get there all that often. ;)

I'm not sure if I've introduced the latest member of our family here or not. as I think I had mentioned before, in June we rescued a cat named Moon Pie. then at the end of August, we rescued a puppy that we named Palmer. he is mostly ladrador. he travels with us whenever we go somewhere. :) this was his 2nd trip to Indiana.

obviously I needed to make a card for Ryan's birthday, so when I saw this adorable image over at Bugaboo, I knew it was perfect! it's called 'AKV Boy Sitter with Dog.' I created a bit of a concrete wall for them to be sitting on.

papers are from the Basic Grey Clippings collection, main die is by Spellbinders, zig zag die is by My Favorite Things, and leaf die is by Prima. flower is from Michaels and red twine is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. buttons are from my vintage stash and sentiment stamp is from a company that has retired. I added a few dots with my white gel pen to the card base & zig zag border for some extra fun. :)

I hope you have a most amazing day! thanks for stopping by! :)

I can see why this image was the perfect pick for your son's card. I like the roughed up papers, piece of texture and buttons placed here and there. A great entry for our challenge at Catch the Bug this week.

First of all, I adore Palmer and my daughter would like Ryan. Hahhahaa. I do love this card and I do exactly what you do...I see an image and think: that goes so well with my daughter. So if there's an image of a cat, I own it or want to own it since she loves felines! This dog is awesome on the skateboard. What a GREAT card to give to Ryan. Cards that have meaning are fabulous and this one is over the top wonderful. Thanks for joining us at Cutie Pie challenge for our Cute Birthday Card celebration! --Gail

Well Jennifer, welcome to Indiana. What school is your son at? I live in Bloomington, IN and work at Indiana University. Of course there are lots of schools in Indiana so it could be any of them. Cute card and I'm sure your son enjoyed the visit. He's very handsome and the puppy is adorable. Have an awesome weekend!
