Fabric, Lace, and/or Ric Rac with Kaboodle Doodles

Coffee of the Day - Cinnamon Hazelnut

Today's new challenge at Kaboodle Doodles is to incorporate fabric, lace, and/or ric rac into your papercraft project. Our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish. One winner will receive 5 images from their store. I know you will want to play along! be sure to stop by the KD blog to see all of the projects made by the DT.

I chose to use the 'Home for the Holidays' image for my card. Paper is from the Crate Paper Snow Day collection. It doesn't show well in the scan, but along the ground, hat, and birdhouse I have added chunky glitter for snow. The snowflakes were sprayed with sparkle shimmer spray. the heart is cut from a quilt piece for my fabric portion of the challenge. lace at the top is some from my vintage stash. some linen thread, Making Memories tag with senti, and buttons complete the card.

Feels good to get another holiday card finished. Have you started yours yet?

Card Caravan - twine
Desert Island Crafters - twine, buttons, nature inspired, dimension, sentiment, add a little green
Glitter Fairies - Christmas Cuties
Emerald Faeries - buttons
For Fun - Christmas
Divas by Design - Christmas

I just could imagine the nice sparkly details of Christmas card, Jen! I haven't started with my Christmas cards though I have to admit I seldom do cards even for Christmas. Maybe this year will be different. =)

Kath

Love...love...love the fabric heart with buttons!! The image is a keeper, too! Great job! BTW - the sentiment for my card is an anonymous quote I found online. Just printed it off on my printer.
