An Oldie but a Goodie

Coffee of the Day - Green tea today for my tender tummy! ;)

I am pulling out one of my fave cards that I made a while back for a VSN over at SplitCoast Stampers. I was the lucky winner with this card and I just love the way this one looks. Since I've been sick and haven't done any stamping for several days, I thought that I would post this one for you. Call it an 'oldies, but goodies' Day! Kinda like a Nick at Night but without the commercials or beehive hairdos.

Everything about this card is from Stampin' Up! I distressed the card base with sand paper and then sponged on white craft and gold inks. The organza ribbon was heated quickly with a heat gun to age.

Finally went to the dr.'s today and discovered I have a nasty virus. 2 weeks? yeah, I guess 'nasty' works. The bugs have settled in and decided to throw a party..... wish I hadn't been invited to this one!!! ;) guess it means I am a good hostess though.......

hopefully I'll be back to 'normal' and stamping again soon.
Enjoy your weekend!
p.s. check out this way cool blog hop and candy!

This is a great card! I love the idea of heating the ribbon to make it look older! I'm sorry you are still under the weather. Here's to hoping the bugs move out soon!

Very pretty card I forgot about organza and the heat gun technique. It's nice to be reminded sometimes. I hope you are feeling better soon. Have a happy Mother's Day!

Hope you feel better soon! I used to love green tea with mint in the mornings.

I never knew you could heat the ribbon to age it. Thanks for that tip!
