Marrakech Latte and Cafe! yummmmm......

Coffee of the Day - Larry's Beans Mexico Blend (my last bit of this yummy blend!)

I had a lovely Saturday, and I hope that you did as well! My middle son, Mick, wanted to go visit a friend who lives near PA. The drive takes about 1 1/2 hours, but there is a HOBBY LOBBY there!!!! So I offered to stay and bring Mick back after they went to the movie and did whatever else they were going to do. (did I happen to mention that this friend is a GIRL!?!?!) anyhow, not only was there a Hobby Lobby, but there was also a JoAnn's and a Michaels all within the same 5 minute drive! and there was a CHILI'S!!!!! the closest Chili's Rest. to us is on the other side of the Cleveland airport and that is almost 1 1/2 hours away. So needless to say, I was in little hoggie heaven!!!!!! oh yeah, STARBUCKS, TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! an individual one (with drive thru) and one at the Barnes & Noble. Can you tell I live in a small area and am like a little kid going to Toys 'R Us for the first time? They want to get together again the weekend after next, so I so very graciously volunteered to drive again......... oh, the sacrifices we Moms make for our children!!!! ;)

I guess you would probably like to see a card while you are here. I made another card using my fun coffee stamps from Stamps Happen, Inc. of the Janlynn Corp. I decided to partner them with something completely off-the-wall: the new Marrakech paper collection by Basic Grey. Now I know you think I've lost my ever lovin' mind, and while you might just be right, I do like the way this turned out. I also used some of my coffee paper that I made this past week with the used coffee grounds on cs. Doesn't this look cool?!?!?!? More of the neat May Arts mesh ribbon and a vintage button complete the look. I challenge you to grab some paper that you wouldn't think to use with a particular stamp and just GO FOR IT! you will probably be surprised at how your creativity will flourish when you push yourself just a wee bit further than you think you can go. We all need that every once in a while!

Love ya!
Jennifer

Love your description of your day, I grew up in a small town so I completely understand!! I love where I live now, I can be almost anywhere in 20 minutes or so. Love the pairing of your card and your images, looks great together.

I love your card and thoroughly understand how you feel going to the "city". Glenwood Springs is two and a half hours from Denver and I try get there when the snow has stopped as much as possible. My poor kids have been to the zoo a million times....my excuse to go shopping.

Fun to see more of your coffee paper. (I still want to know whether or not it smells like coffee...?) I like the way you've cut your rectangles with wavy lines, too.

Hi, Jennifer--that sounds like a perfect shopping day to me! I just wanted to let you know that I did get your address today; I have e-mailed you several times, but I think a s*amblocker must be eating my e-mails. I'll try to get to the post office tomorrow. {{{Hugs!}}}

Yeah ... "sacrifices" .... I completely understand! Who could resist an actual "reason" to go near JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby, and Chili's all in one day, when there's not usually a good enough call for such a treat! You go girl!

I am loving this card! I love coffee themed stuff. I live in a tiny town, but luckily I can hop on the interstate and be at Hobby Lobby in about 20 minutes. I had to take my girls to the Dr yesterday and it's a solid 30 minutes or more away in Knoxville and I *had* to hit Target while I was over there. I mildly complain about living out here in cow-ville, but we're really lucky to live so close to a large city.
